CORRECT PROCEDURE FOR 2ND JOB WITH FMCSA HOS RULES

I have a driver who is looking to get a 2nd job. Does anyone know the correct procedure for tracking the hours of 2nd job on elog to be in compliance for the FMCSA. Our company uses 70hours/8day.

    Your employee must report any hours with another employer to you and you must check their HOS with your company to insure they have hours to drive. Keller has an intermittent driver form you can use for this. You should also have your employee sign an acknowledgment that they must report any hours outside your company to you.

    We use Samsara for ELD's. Is there a way to track 2nd job HOS electronically through Samsara that you are aware of?
